Good morning, friends! It’s a beautiful (but rainy) fall morning in Washington and I’m sitting here with my latte and a sleepy baby snuggled up beside me. What a good morning! Then my mail-woman comes by with a few goodies and it got me thinking, what was life like before Prime!? Isn’t it insane that we can get pretty much anything delivered to our doorstep with little to no waiting?
What are some of your best purchases from Amazon? I was thinking about some of mine, so I decided to review my past orders and share some of my favorite purchases with you. To be honest, some of the “deals” I’ve found have been a bust. I remember trying to order a knock-off Seahawks jersey for myself after I lost my authentic one (sooooo sad). Turns out the shop I was trying to buy cheaply from was a sham. Amazon was amazing and immediately refunded my money (they rock!), but sometimes you just don’t know what’s going to be a good deal until you order it! With this in mind, I decided to do a series of blog posts highlighting my favorite purchases from Amazon. Over the next few posts I’ll highlight my favorite home decor, fashion, food and kitchen items, and other random fun!
Today I’ll be highlighting my favorite home decor items.
My Favorite Items From Amazon For Your Home
Altra Core Night Stand
Friends, I own two of these night stands in black. They’re in our master bedroom. I’m not one for fancy furniture but I do like my stuff to look nice. This night stand is under $60 – amazing quality for the price (think IKEA)! I’ve had this piece for 3+ years now and it’s still in great shape. Highly recommend!
Matted 8×10 Wood Picture Frame
Frames are expensive. So expensive! Not sure why, but they are. I have a hard time finding quality looking frames without breaking the bank. I ordered these from Amazon and was pleasantly surprised. I framed some of our wedding photos to hang below my wedding bouquet in our bedroom. Love the way it brings a level of sophistication to our room.
Linen 18×18 Pillow Case Cover
This pillow cover has seen many different rooms in our house. It’s lived on our bed for a bit, and currently hangs out on our couch. It’s adorable and the perfect pillow cover to add a little fun to a space. Even better that it’s only $7! I will always love this little pillow cover because it’s in the background of some of the sweetest newborn photos I caught of Macey at 4 weeks old. <3
14-inch Boxwood Wreath
I promise that you will not find a better quality boxwood wreath for this price. I’ve looked everywhere. If you find something better for cheaper you MUST tell me! ๐ I’m obsessed with the classic look that a boxwood wreath provides and I was ready to spend upwards of $100 just to find a wreath that looked real! So glad I found this one. I love dressing it up for holidays with Christmas ornaments or bows but it stays up all year round. Such a good buy! We had it hung up in Macey’s room for a while, and used it as decor for my baby shower (both pictured below), but it’s been all over my house. So versatile!
Faux Sheepskin Rug
Because everyone needs a little sheepskin in their lives. I’ve been taking Macey’s growth pictures on this rug! I love how it looks on the back of an arm chair or rocking chair, or layered over another rug. Perfectly chic!
Collapsible Storage Bin
Y’all (I was born in Georgia…I can say that), who doesn’t love a pretty storage bin? I have 4 of these in my craft storage area and let me tell you, it makes me look ten times more organized than I actually am in that space. I searched a long time for these. I didn’t want a solid color, but most of the patterns I found were either too wild for me or made the bin too expensive. These are $12 a piece!
Hypo-Allergegnic Pillow Insert (22×22)
If you buy one thing from this post (or this series of posts), buy these pillow inserts. $14 of straight perfection. Plump. Buttery Soft. And the perfect pillow insert for 20×20 pillow cases. I didn’t know this, but ideally you buy a pillow insert 2 inches larger than the pillow case you’re trying to fill. For example, for an 18×18 pillow case you’d want a 20×20 pillow so that it’s plump and full! I have two of these 22×22 pillow inserts and I’ve covered them with these beautiful $9ย black and white pillow covers from IKEA…my second love — after Target. ๐
That’s a wrap on home decor! I would love to know if you’ve made an Amazon purchase for your home that you love. I’m always looking for great deals that are good quality. Also, if you try out any of these items and love them, I’d love to hear from you too! Email me photos (drivingmissmacey@gmail.com) or tag me in your Instagram photos (@drivingmissmacey), I’d love to feature your pictures on my feed!
