Can you believe it? Less than three weeks until Christmas!?!! I drug my husband to Paper Source on Tuesday night this week and snagged some gift wrap goodies! I usually wrap my presents way in advance, but this year we’re planning to have a few people over closer to Christmas for a little gift wrapping party. Or as we are calling it, a gift wrap extravaganza. 😉
Speaking of Paper Source, if you’re looking for some fun cocktail themed gifts for someone on your list, they’re offering 25% off wine & cocktail gifts between now and December 11. And if you’re wondering, here are the gift wrap selections I made: holiday plaid, solid ‘night’ blue, and some gold ribbon! I have some leftover wrapping paper from last year I plan to use, too, plus some festive bags I’ve collected over the past few months.
Anyway — enough about that. 😉 I have some really fun items in this week’s Friday Favorites to share with you.
Favorite Accessory: PopSocket
Does this even count as an accessory? Ha, I’m counting it this week! Guys, I didn’t think I would love this little gadget, but I do. I know for a fact that the percentage of times I drop my phone on my face while laying in bed had decreased significantly. 😉 Love it!
Favorite Purchase: Express Cowl Neck Sweater
RUN! This sweater is on sale for under $30 right now and is such a fun piece for the holidays. I snagged this sweater in white but it also comes in two different shades of green. The fun balloon sleeve detail sets this sweater apart from your typical cowl neck sweaters, and makes it the perfect piece to dress up or down. I wear it most with my distressed jeans and black mules.
Favorite DIY: Gold Ring Wall Hanging from Lauren Conrad
You don’t need to be Joanna Gains to do this DIY! A pair of scissors, yarn, and a metal macramé ring is all you need! I sat down and did this project while Macey was napping and it took me a total of 30 minutes. Can’t beat that! Just cut the yarn into long strands, all the same size, fold in half, and loop the yarn onto the gold hoop.
To be honest, this brown yarn was just something I had on hand…probably not the color I would have chosen but I really like the way it came out! The color is perfect for this time of year and helps warm up my white walls a bit.
I also played around with my garland filler from Hearth & Hand and some leftover Christmas ribbon from last year. What do you think?
Favorite Recipe: Cranberry Brie Bites
This is an easy and instant crowd-pleaser that took me less than 20 minutes to pull together! If you need an inexpensive appetizer for an upcoming holiday party that’s full of flavor, this is your lucky day. 🙂 See full recipe here.
Favorite Baby Item:Â Merlin’s Magic Sleepsuit
I love this mostly because it makes Macey look like a sumo wrestler, but it’s also really helping her sleep well at night and transition out of her swaddle.
Are you done with your Christmas shopping yet? I still have a few things to pick up but plan to be completely done after this weekend. Does anyone else feel like this holiday season is just flying by!? We are headed to North Carolina for Christmas this year. This will be Macey’s first flight and her first time meeting her Great Grandma Montie. We are so excited! This is what the holidays are all about!
XOXO,
Becca
